All About Logen

Oh man, I love my little boy's blonde curls. His hair has become a bit crazy. After his naps, he looks like einstein and being ALL boy, he gets food, dirt, and anything he can find in it possible but I LOVE it. Perhaps its because we waited SO long for him to get any hair, or maybe it's because I never had curly hair and am a little jealous but I have a feeling those curls won't be there forever so I insist on keeping it long and "fuzzy". lol.

An update on Logen since I haven't done one in a while. He is doing well and learning to open doors (which is why I have ordered door knob handles in hopes of keeping him out of places a bit longer). He still is the same wild boy he's always been. He loves to run back and forth, bang his head against pillows, jump and roll off of the couch. He's also had some naughty things including but not limited to: eating pencil erasers, drawing on the walls with crayons, drawing on his knee with a pen, hitting mom when I say "no", kicking the door while in time out after hitting mom, and roaring at lilly while chasing out kitty lilly around the house. He also enjoys dumping his water cup every once in a while in nursery and eating the crayons in nursery. I thought he would be out of the putting weird things in his mouth phase but apparently not. We are working on it.

He still loves his paci. We have a hard time keeping it away from him and that will get even harder with a newborn I imagine but for the most part, he only has it during his nap and bedtime.

He loves movies. He doesn't really sit and watch them. He likes to act them out in the living room while they play. His favorites include Cars, Toy Story, Mulan, and Tarzan. He also really enjoys Curious George & Sesame Street. I don't let him watch movies and tv all day long but when he gets to, he gets super excited.

His favorite things to do during playtime is: #1. run, #2. play with legos (he loves legos), #3. run again (especially outside) He also is really enjoying daddy storytime at night with his new disney pixar storybook he got for christmas.

Now while he is the silliest boy I have ever seen and is developing physically like crazy (he is tall!), he still hasn't figured out his speech very well yet. We are working on it and he is getting an evaluation in the next week to see what extra help we can give him to encourage that and figure out what is going on.

Either way, our little Logen is not really little anymore and he when he slows down which is rare (he will give kisses now!!!) :) which is my favorite thing taht he does these days.

it's been a really long time since I posted. I just haven't had much to post about and I've been super busy. Here is the photographs from thanksgiving. You should all watch the video too! Logen didn't quite make it through all of thanksgiving dinner, he decided he was too tired. (yes he's being crazy in his sleep...he is sleeping. haha..crazy boy). Update on baby boy: everything is going wonderful. We are working on the nursery (peter pan theme). Pictures will be posted soonish as it gets closer to being done.

jared and i took a little trip to fort collins, colorado. we had been wanting to take a getaway (just the two of us) for a while now, especially since our 5 year anniversary will be this coming january. We thought of going then, but we decided to go early since I will be super pregnant by winter time.

We chose fort collins simply because we heard it was beautiful. We wanted to go somewhere totally new that we had never been before. It was hard leaving logen and we definitely missed him and are glad to be home but it was so much fun being just the 2 of us again and enjoying our time. here are some pics:

As of late, logen has become more and more like a toddler. Their have been the tantrums, the fake crying, the devilish smile when I know he is up to something, and the ability to destroy anything he comes in contact with. haha

I hate it but I love it too! He is so smart and figures things out so fast that it makes me very proud but at that the same time I'm saying "no, please don't do that again!"

Well since he is 18 months, I thought I would post some things about my wild logen:

he likes to make this really cheesy grin and squint his eyes so he can't even see. He usually does this when we are laughing because of something.
recently I saw him closing his eyes and trying to walk blind. lol, I have no idea where he learned it.
he still is obsessed with curious george. He loves that show.
he is also still obsessed with any disney pixar movie, especially cars.
he will say a few words with lots of coaxing: up, uh-oh, thank you (sorta), and once in a while he says something that sounds like "love you"
he has been practicing a somersault!!! he hasn't mastered it yet but it's only a matter of time.
he is the tallest 18 month year old ever! lol, he's in the 90 something percentile. we're hoping he's a laker.
his hair is out of control---it's tons of wavy fuzz. he will be getting a hair cut very soon on the bottom but I don't want to lose the wavy curls just yet. :(
he is enjoying legos and starting to put them together a bit. These are probably his favorite toy but he still really just likes to run back and forth.
he still puts things in his mouth! this needs to stop ASAP, it drives me crazy. He puts dirt, sand, magnets, lotion, etc. in his mouth any opportunity he can. I have to watch him like a hawk.
he has put sunscreen in the carpet, colored on the walls, drew on our new arm chair with pen, pulled all of the toilet paper off of the roll in the bathroom, and baby powdered the bathroom floor.
he's more willing to give hugs now, I love that part.
his favorite book is "is this my dinosaur?"
he has started trying on other people's shoes and wandering around in them.

I love my wild, crazy, rambunctious, and sweet heart- - LOGEN.

the suncrest half marathon

haha, okay so jared and his brother, phillip ran in a half marathon last week. It was so fun to see them race. They did awesome. The suncrest mountain race is a super steep and hard race and so to see them finish was a big accomplishment. Jared actually beat his time from the park city half marathon last year which is hard to do. Both of them did really great. go phillip and jared!

when I announced our first pregnancy to jared, I left a stuffed animal frog with a tag that said "due spring 2010". It was exciting to keep that in our house as we awaited our little logen to arrive. We are so excited for the next baby to arrive, I did the same thing to announce it to jared with this adorable little chick. Turns out, it's probably not quite spring. oh well...

Mia, my family dog passed away yesterday. She had been fighting cancer for quite some time but had never seemed to be in pain or bothered a lot until the last few days. We are going to miss her. I can't picture my parents' house without her but I also am sure she is much happier now.

I have so many memories of Mia. She came home when I was twelve years old to be a part of our family. She is a german short hair and we picked her partly because she was the runt in the liter. We should have known by her huge paws, but we thought she might be a little smaller since she was the runt. Instead we often felt like we were training and walking a horse. She was a 90 lb. dog who ussually walked us. I picture the movie Marley & Me as a good description of our dog at times. She was such a happy and hyper dog through most of her life. She was untrainable in a lot of ways but she loved everyone who came into the house.

Their was lots of yelling over chewed up stuffed animals, eating out of the trash, stealing people's food and even trying to sit on people. She always thought she was smaller than she was and if the cat can sit on you, then why couldn't she? When she was much younger, she loved to run away. She would take off out the front door and run until one of the neighbor kids or really a collection of the neighborhood would catch her. That was incredibly stressful.

It wasn't long after her first battle with cancer, that she went running out of the front door. My sister and friend went to track her down when Mia ran into a busy road and was hit by a car. My sister devastated who was sure she had died, ran to get my mom. My mother rushed to go to the road and find Mia but when she opened the front door, there was our giant horse dog sitting on the porch. It was later found that she had been hit by the car and after a minute of shaking it off, she walked straight home. After that, we knew she was a super dog. She also never ran away again.

Mia was a kind and sweet dog. She was naive and full of joy. She taught me to be patient, to remember whats important, and that a smile and a lot of dog slober makes everything better.

Mia, I will miss you! I know you are in a better place. I hope heaven is equipped with lots of ice cream, chew toys, and I hate to say it ---but even that cat liter you would also get into. love always, kath.

well we are so excited to announce that we are expecting a baby. logen will have a sibling. I've been trying to get him to say "baby" but he is definitely not interested, at least not now. We are super excited and have been keeping the secret for a little while. We are due March 10th, 2012. here are some cute ultrasound photos from today.

logen took his first airplane ride early august. I was terrified of how he would do on an airplane. I had prepared myself for the worst. Things went much better than planned, all thanks to the dvd player and Cars.

Jared's brother Adam passed away on August 9th, 2011. He was only 36 years old. It has been a huge loss to our family. He was loved by so many and will definitely be missed. It was very unexpected and he left behind so many but we take comfort in the truth that we will see him again one day. Rest in Peace Adam.

Logen, Jared, and I went to the Bee's Baseball Game many many weeks ago. I've just been very slow at updating this blog. It was fun except logen threw a few tantrums which led to us leaving early. He enjoyed the lights and people but definitely was not interested in sitting and watching the game. I think we expected that.

mike and jackie, jared's parents came to visit us a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun seeing them and it was good for logen to see his grandparents and play with them. They had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures.

Logen has been doing some very funny and mischievous things lately so I decided I should share before I forget. These are some of his recent moments.

*he has learned how to open some doors and some of the safety cabinet locks. He is a pretty tall baby and likes to grab onto the door knob while on his tippy toes and he turns it until once in a while, it does open. He also knows to push down on the cabinet door locks and it has now opened twice. uh oh!, now what do I do?

*he also put together that you need keys to open the front door so he now likes to grab my car keys and he tries to put them to the door in hopes that it will open. He hasn't had any luck with that and doesn't even understand putting a key in the door but he does put them to the door knob. can you tell our son is trying to run away?

*he loves to throw objects down the stairs. We have a baby gate on the top of the stairs but he enjoys throwing everything from pillows, to toy pianos, to sippy cups, and so on...down the steps.

*he has not started saying words yet a lot (at least not words that I understand). he will say "mama" and "dada" and a lot he says "up" sometimes but that's about it so far. We are working hard on this but the other day my brother said a bad word and of course, he sort of copied it. It wasn't quite the word but it was very close. I was terrified that would be his first real word. it was something like "ashashash" is what he repeated.

*he loves to copy everyone's actions. jared and I will do tricks with our tongue or make funny noises and he loves to copy those. He is better at it than us most of the time.

*he is in love with pens and pillows. I'm not sure what it is but he is in love with them. He loves to grab pillows and run into walls and bounce off of them, and then he still lands on something soft. lol.

*in the last week, he has been a little less picky which is wonderful. I got him to try mac n cheese, and rice without him spitting it out. My son hates sticky things so unless I feed him, he doesn't really want to touch mac n cheese, rice, any sticky meat like tuna, mashed potatoes, etc. It's caused some frustration and lots of food on the floor. we're hoping this ends soon!

I feel like their are so many more memories and things he's done as of late but perhaps I will share more another time because none are coming to mind. we have a wild child on our hands these days. He loves to move and run and talk jibberish. Hopefully we will make it out alive....

Z is for Zoo.

Logen and I skipped lots of letters last week and decided to focus on Z is for Zoo. We had lots of fun, here are some of the many things we did:

we watched the lion king.

we made animal cookies and ate them all, they were very good. I got my cutters at williams sonoma animal cracker cookie cutters.

we went to the zoo and saw the animals. it was so hot! and so it was still fun but definitely made it hard to walk around and enjoy everything. we did get some cool pictures though. this was logen's first trip to the zoo and to be honest, he didn't care that much. lol, I think part of it was the heat but he didn't even seem to notice most of what was going on. oh well...

we created a stuffed animal zoo and watched a few more animal movies, including some documentaries which were pretty cool. Logen loved this.

this week we also learned about F is for flag: (the post will be coming soon). Next, is H is for Harry Potter. (yeah!)

we went to my mom's side of the family reunion this last week. It's always so fun to be at the family reunions and see everyone (a lot of people I still don't know by name). This last saturday, I turned 24! hooray for me! it was a way fun birthday. jared took me to ikea for the day on a wonderful shopping spree. (my n laws, mike & jackie contributed to my shopping spree. they were incredibly generous!)

we ate lots of food at ikea

and then went to like 6 redbox's trying to find the movie we wanted, we came home and ate a yummy ice cream cake and watched our movie.

It was a wonderful birthday. jared definitely spoiled me this year.

My parents gave me my present a few days early, they got me a gift card to a spa. I will be getting treated to a massage, facial, and pedicure I think. so awesome! thanks mom and dad! they also got me the shirt and sweater i am wearing in the ikea pictures.

so...logen sleeps in a play yard and he loves it, i love it...it all works out. it's just easier. it's soft on all sides so their are no more head injuries from him being wild and he can play and run around in it too (because it's so big). anyway, my tutorial on how to make it and more pictures is on my craft blog:

List #2. What I LOVE about spring.

I'm enjoying writing lists but DON'T FEEL PRESSURED TO READ. I will not be offended. It's just be blabbering off.

1. that it's getting warm!!!! (well, not really in utah this year. it's been snowing and raining a lot. haha, but it's the hope that it will get warmer)
2. I can go on walks with logen and jared now (again bundled up but I have been able to go on a few now)
3. easter, I love holidays and easter is a really fun one. I love decorating easter eggs, having easter hunts, etc.
4. spring cleaning is definitely needed in my house this year and I really enjoy planning and organizing everything back to where it needs to be.
5. general conference-I love the spring session of general conference. Its always fun to listen to talks and be with family.
6. flowers and outdoor projects, I enjoy home depot during this time even more because I can walk through all of the plants and think about where it could go in my house and it's just fun to see what's available.
7. our bbq gets even more use which I love bbq food so that's nice.
8. I love may, it's a time where it's still spring but also really low key. It's in prep for summer and I really enjoy that month.
9. spring break! who doesn't love a nice break in the spring right? I don't even have school age children but I love it. it's fun.
10 . yellows, pastels, blues...I enjoy the spring color a lot. their fresh and pure. I love it.

My dear sweet Logen is 52 weeks. This is his last weekly photo. Looking back, I can't believe how much he's grown. It makes me sad and excited all at the same time. Logen is a very smart, and a very active boy. He loves his mom and dad. He is always full of energy. He has mastered the guilty smile, and knows how to get attention. He has the cutest smile in the world. It melts my heart. When he giggles, everything seems okay. He is very independent and wants to do everything on his own. He loves to explore. He is also very tall. (we'll see if it stays that way). He went to disneyland this last week and made all my dreams come true. I was so excited to bring him there and let him experience the magic that I always did. It was everything a mom could hope for. We had his birthday party in california with family as well. Of course, we did a Disney, Cars theme. He loved it and it was a blast. We will have another small celebration this coming sunday. He is growing so fast. I love him forever.

Logen is 51 weeks old. ahhh! I will confess I took this picture a few days before he was 51 weeks because we went out of town and their was no way to take our giant stuffed lion along. This is bright and early in the morning before we left. Logen loves climbing stairs. He still can't get really down them but he will gladly take on the challenge of getting up the stairs. He has become a bit picky with eating food. He loves bread but is refusing meat, cheese, rice...lol, he just plays with it. We're working on that. He is such a blessing in our lives and he definitely keeps us on our toes.

My grandpa john turned 85 on saturday. We went to a huge birthday party bash for him. It was fun seeing everyone. Logen was very tired as you can tell from the picture and was not enjoying being held.

Logen is 50 weeks old. He is such a funny guy. He learned how to clap today and has been doing it all day. He's been loving sesame street lately, especially Abby's Flying Fairy School. He fell asleep for the first time in his high chair last night. He hadn't napped very much and just was out. It was very cute. He also has been picking out his food and eating one item at time. For example, if we give him mixed vegetables, he will eat all of the corn first, and then all of the carrots, and then last the peas. It's pretty funny to watch and I don't think it's something we taught him. He loves going outside. When we come inside, he yells at me and throws a fit. He's definitely growing out of being a baby which makes me kind of sad but I'm excited for the next stage.

Logen is 49 weeks. aaahhh! he's growing up. He loves cheerios, pens/markers to hold and carry around with him, his pacifier, the movie cars, and newspaper. He shakes his head "no" now. I'm not sure whether he knows what it means but it seems like he does. He does it a lot when he's angry at me or tired. We are going to california for his first disneyland trip in a little over a week now and to see grandma and grandpa jenkins and all of our family. We're so excited! I should mention that I love this picture of him because he actually let the "hood" stay on his head. He hates anything covering his head and throws a fit when I try to put his hood up or a hat on. haha, but I got a picture...

Logen is 48 weeks. He has become more attached to mom and dad these past few weeks actually. Everyone told me it would happen but it really didn't become obvious until now. He will cuddle with us! which is a first, lol. It only lasts a few minutes but we love those minutes of cuddling. He has learned to drink from a straw which he loves. If you take the drink/straw away, he throws a fit. As you see in his picture also, he is a sippee cup drinker now. We have completely gotten rid of the bottle, I just hope it stays that way. He's been pretty good at transitioning from things so far. I don't think the transition from pacifier to no pacifier will go smoothly though. :).

Logen is 47 weeks. I only have a few more of these posts to make. He'll be coming up on 52 weeks now very soon. I'm feeling a little bit sad that it's coming to an end. He is such a light in my life. He is hillarious, all day long and always moving and it has been that way since the beginning. He is his own spirit. He loves to fake laugh. It's in between a cough and a laugh. It's very funny. He does it to get our attention-it works. lol. He has also become obsessed with pens, and our wii drum sticks. He carries them around like it's a magical wand. I think jared and harry potter have something to do that...He walks just about everywhere now and really refuses to crawl. He loves to play chase.

Logen is becoming a walking pro. He loves us to chase him and he tries to go as fast as he can which often results in him falling but he gets right back and keeps going. He doesn't crawl a lot anymore at all. I am worried about the injuries to come from bumping into things. He is such a sweet boy. He smiles at just about everyone, even if it's a quiet smile. He's also a powerhouse which is a fun combination because he goes for anything and really since the beginning, he's always accepted the challenge. You can't stop him. I am very proud of him, he's a lot like his dad.

My baby Logen has this beautiful measurement chart decal in his room on his wall. It was given to him as a gift and I love it. The other day I noticed that one of the measurement markers (little vertical dash line) was missing. I looked on the ground thinking it had peeled off somehow, but their was no sign of it.

The next day, jared yelled for me from logen's room and I came running in to find him pulling something out of logen's mouth. We examined it and and figured out it was a sticker 2 that was on his measurement decal!!! He has been peeling them off of the wall and eating them. haha, we do feed our child I promise. haha

luckily the #2 survived and will be somehow put back on his measurement chart but the measurement marker is gone I'm sure and I've put things in the way of the chart so he can't get to it.

Logen is 45 weeks. He is walking a lot now. He can walk across the room pretty well with out falling and give it a few weeks, and I think he will be an official walker (which means we need to find him shoes that fit his very wide feet, ha-ha). He loves to mimick daddy. It's hillarious. Dad roars at him like a lion, and then Logen will be roaring back. Dad talks like a pirate, and Logen tries to talk like a pirate. It's quite entertaining. It's funny he says "dadadada" when he wants to have fun and is happy but once he's sad or wants to go to bed, it's "mamamama". silly boy.

Logen is 44 weeks old. He's turning one soon and I can't believe it. Logen is definitely taking steps and he is a master cruiser. He's getting skinnier too cause he's moving around so much. I'm starting to see him "fill out". Unfortunately he's had a little cold so we had a rest day today and didn't do much of anything. He woke up a lot in the night with a little cough. He has also become fascinated with pens. He will look far and wide for any pens that have been left in his reach. He loves to examine them and stick them in his mouth and twirl them (like he's using a magic wand). If we take them away, he throws a fit. It's pretty funny.

Logen is 43 weeks. He started saying mamama and dadadada this week. I'm not sure he knows who's who but it's still exciting. He also loves to bang on the wall when he wakes up because he knows we come and get him from his crib faster that way. He went to the doctors for his 9 month check up (yes I know it's late but what do ya do). He was 22.5 pounds which puts him in the 75th percentile for weight. He was 45.5 cm for height which also puts him in the 75th percentile .The doctor told us that he is super ahead in motor skills, especially when he took steps to her on his own! haha. He is a very healthy boy!

Logen is 42 weeks. He loves to take off his pants, He thinks its funny that he knows how to and so that's why he has no pants in this picture. He is also singing while doing tricks with his tongue. It is pretty crazy, I definitely can't do the things he can. I just start laughing every time I see it. I have a video of it that I will post. He is mimicking a lot of what we do and he loves to be held by mom and play with dada. He is in love with the swim team. He thinks they are all his best friends and gets excited to come to practice. We only have a few more weeks now coaching the team....

Logen is 41 weeks. He is loving toys (as you see him with his piano that grandma & grandpa jenkins got him). He really is trying to actually play with toys and not just hold them or eat them which is fun for me. We've been playing in his room many times a day and it's fun seeing his eyes light up. He's still taking a few steps at a time and then falling. We're not rushing it since he's only 9 months and it's hard keeping up with anyway. He's getting more hair believe it or not. He actually has some now on the sides and back of his head. It's not just fuzz. One of my primary kids asked me if we gave Logen a mohawk....haha...because he has quite a bit of hair on top and not a lot on the sides that you can see. I laughed.

Logen is 40 weeks. I can't believe it. I keep obsessing over the fact that he is turning 1 soon. I'm trying to come to terms with that. Now that it's 2011, I am thinking about all of the things he will be doing this year vs. 2010. He loves saying "babababababa" and he's been practicing saying "ball". He's close and I'm thinking that might be his first word. Whenever I hold up a ball and say "ball", he tries to repeat it but he hasn't quite got there yet. He's more attached to people now and he knows how to get what he wants which is a good and bad thing. We're trying to decide how much to give in right now. More than anything, we're just in awe.

Logen is 39 weeks. He got the adorable lion hat for christmas. I'm in love with it and try to make him wear it all the time. He often takes it off and gets annoyed with me but Santa sure is awesome. He also got the cute plaid shirt from my aunt Pam, and the ball he is going crazy with he got for christmas too! he definitely got spoiled this christmas from everyone. It was fun to watch him play with the lights and wrapping paper and care nothing about the presents but actually I will say...he liked the presents too. He got some really cool ones so I don't blame him. I was excited about his presents. I also have some very exciting news. Logen took his first steps on Dec. 29th. I have a video that I will post. I grabbed the camera and he did it a few more times before getting fussy. He decided to take a few steps a day before he turned 9 months---he is so fast and quick at crawling...I can only imagine when he starts walking and running!

Logen is 38 weeks. This week will be his first christmas. I'm so excited. Logen has been a little grouchy this week. He's been teething and getting those top teeth in which has made him a little less patient with me taking him everywhere. I have had to be much more creative in entertaining him during our shopping runs for presents and during swim practices. Luckily, most of my entertaining tricks have worked so we've been okay and made it out alive. Logen loves attention and will do anything to get it. When ever he sees someone in the shopping aisle look at him, he gives them this adorable smile and laughs and does this funny eyebrow thing. It's so funny. Then as soon as they leave, he's back to being fussy...He just loves to be the entertainer.

Logen is 37 weeks. We re-did logen's room this last week. Just added some fun cars, buz lightyear, and mickey posters to his lion king themed room...we also got rid of the changing table that we never use and don't see a need for. When I change him, I don't go and find the changing table. I just get out the changing pad so...we got rid of it. Logen is in love with showing off his new "standing up" trick. He likes to make a game of it where he stands up by himself and then we clap and say hoorah and then he laughs and falls over and then does it again awaiting the applause. He is the silliest baby I know. He is getting much more courageous in wanting to take steps now which is pretty amazing and scary. We're still waiting for the mamamas and dadadadas.

Logen is 36 weeks. He is standing by himself for many seconds at a time now! I got teary eyed when he did it the first time. It was so cute! he loves tinsel so I have to keep the christmas tree off limits. He has found our dvds and pulls them off the shelf many times a day. He is sleeping in a play yard these days rather than a crib and he loves it. We switched for many reasons but are happy with the change. He hasn't said mamama or dadadada yet. I keep saying it over and over again hoping it will catch on. we'll see....

Logen is 35 weeks. He is moving everywhere. He has started jabbering a lot more than usual. This last week he got to meet all of his nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles in california. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone and letting them meet Logen. Logen was a little overwhelmed by all the love but he was really good the whole time. He is right now refusing to eat baby food. I've started just giving him soft finger foods and will continue to try both baby food and that but he is growing up too fast! we'll see...

Logen is 34 weeks. He is getting used to the cold weather. We're excited to get a break and head to California. Logen has become a speed crawler. That with the combination of putting everything in his mouth, I am re-thinking the idea of a "bubble boy". It would be really nice to keep him away from everything dangerous and gross. He is laughing and starting to react at more things now which is fun. I love having him with me every day.

Logen is amazing. He is 33 weeks now. I can't believe how strong he is and fast he learns. He is so energetic about life and it becomes contagious. I love it. It snowed this week so I showed Logen the snow as it was falling. He put his hand out to catch the snowflakes and just giggled. By the way, he loves to giggle and depending on the time of day, he can be down right silly. He is very much like his dad.

Logen has been very temperamental about bath time so I haven't taken many recent pictures. One thing about Logen is that he loves certain toys and he's very particular. We have 3 bath rings. He loves loves loves the orange one (weird I know) so every bath time he wants to chew on the orange ring while he soaks and gets clean. He also just loves the toys. If I don't put the toys in right away, he sits and looks for them until I do. haha, silly boy.

Logen is 32 weeks. He is getting huge! He has grown up so fast, its crazy. He's also continues to be very strong. He accidentally kicked me the other day, and I could not believe how hard he can kick. He's much more interested in toys these days. He actual pays attention to what they do and examines them. I love toys so that makes me very happy and excited for christmas. He still is fairly self-entertained except that he is moving so much and crawling everywhere that I have to be with him 24-7. (he is wearing his adorable snow suit as we are in very cold weather now)

Logen is 31 weeks. He is a crawling pro and this week, he decided to start pulling himself up on things. I have a feeling he'll be walking early. He's such a funny boy. He has a contagious smile. He has been teething a lot lately and I think that his 2 top teeth are coming in slowly. The other morning I woke up and could hear him in the other room. As I snuck up to his door I noticed he was sitting in his crib having an early morning meeting with his stuffed animals. It was so cute. He was just talking to them in his crib.

Logen is 30 Weeks. He had a doctors appointment yesterday and turns out--he's gonna be a laker. haha. He's in the 80th percentile for height and the 70th percentile for weight. He's way ahead in motor skills. He's already crawling everywhere and he's not even 7 months yet. He's a very wild little boy. He loves Lilly the cat. He crawls after her and laughs and giggles at her. He also has enjoyed watching many spooky cartoons lately as we get ready for Halloween. Perhaps a not so charming but very funny quirk he's started is spitting and blowing violent strawberries at everyone.

Logen is 29 weeks. We decided to try out our winter hat & gloves for the picture to see if they fit right...and they do. haha. Logen thinks everything is funny. He giggles at anything that makes you look silly. He also got kisses from Lilly the cat yesterday and thought that was hillarious. He loves to grunt and talk to himself when he's going to bed. He talks himself to sleep too!. Our day consists of hanging out with the grantsville swim team, watching curious george, taking pictures, and taking naps. It's crazy busy but good. Logen loves his grantsville swimmers. Their his friends. He's sure they are coming just to see him. He is also crawling and moving a few steps at a time.

Logen is 28 Weeks. He has started crawling! He crawls a few steps and then dives for something he wants and then crawls a few more. It's very cute and terrifying. I am trying to move everything out of possible reach now. He is in love with the TV remote. I don't understand why but but he starts giggling whenever he sees it and goes crazy trying to crawl/lunge for it. haha. We have been so busy lately that we are posting this super late. I took the picture last week but never got it up on the blog until now. We also have a very late appointment for his 6 month check up. It's next week because I have been too busy to do it at normal times and my Dr. couldn't get me in with my schedule until the 25th so we'll see...he'll almost be 7 months by then. oh well...
